Hello folks! We’re thrilled to introduce a cooking recipe for a product we are developing: Seared Scallops with Garlic Butter Sauce. Perfectly seared scallops meet a rich garlic butter sauce, with a splash of lemon for a bright finish. Elegant, simple, and absolutely delicious— this dish is sure to impress!
Seared Scallops with Garlic Butter Sauce:
Ingredients:
- 12 large sea scallops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- Prepare the Scallops:
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps in getting a good sear.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Sear the Scallops:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add the scallops in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch each other.
- Sear the scallops for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust. Do not overcook them; they should be tender and slightly translucent in the center.
- Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter.
- Once the butter melts, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it slightly reduces.
- Combine and Serve:
- Return the scallops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
- Cook for another minute just to warm them through.
- Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the scallops and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
Serving Suggestion:
- Serve the seared scallops with a side of steamed vegetables, over a bed of risotto, or alongside a fresh salad for a light and elegant meal.
