Seafood Recipe – Seared Scallops with Butter Sauce

Hello folks! We’re thrilled to introduce a cooking recipe for a product we are developing: Seared Scallops with Garlic Butter Sauce. Perfectly seared scallops meet a rich garlic butter sauce, with a splash of lemon for a bright finish. Elegant, simple, and absolutely delicious— this dish is sure to impress!

Seared Scallops with Garlic Butter Sauce:

Ingredients:

  • 12 large sea scallops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Scallops:
    • Pat the scallops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps in getting a good sear.
    • Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Scallops:
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add the scallops in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch each other.
    • Sear the scallops for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust. Do not overcook them; they should be tender and slightly translucent in the center.
    • Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter.
    • Once the butter melts, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
    • Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it slightly reduces.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Return the scallops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
    • Cook for another minute just to warm them through.
    • Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the scallops and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Serving Suggestion:

  • Serve the seared scallops with a side of steamed vegetables, over a bed of risotto, or alongside a fresh salad for a light and elegant meal.
